Esky has cleverly recreated the Aerosptiale AS350 – a light utility single turbine helicopter developed by Eurocopter, which has been used in a wide variety of platforms, such as SAR (Search and Rescue), Law Enforcement, Fire Suppression, and ENG (Electronic News Gathering).

Drawing upon this design, Esky offers the “Outdoor Lama”in a large, super stable coaxial design, allowing this helicopter to be flown by just about anyone. Coaxial helicopters, by nature of their counter rotating rotor design, lend well to new pilots due to the inherent stability of the counter rotating blades, which requires no tail rotor or anti-torque device. Due to this, the Outdoor Lama can be flown by those who have never flown helicopters before, and can be mastered in a very short time span. Due to its larger size, larger rotor system, greater weight & upgraded 3S 11.1V LiPo battery, the Outdoor Lama is capable of being flown outdoors in light wind, unlike smaller coaxial which can only be flown indoors, or in zero wind conditions. Outdoor flight will not only be more enjoyable, but will allow you to learn with greater ease, as more airspace is always a benefit when learning. 

An added benefit to the Outdoor Lama is the included Esky simulator software, which will allow new pilots to fly via their PC, building skills before they take to the air! CD software & USB cable included in package, allowing you to use the 2.4Ghz transmitter via your PC. 

Designed for indoor/outdoor flight, the Esky Outdoor Lama functions just like its true life counterpart; with 4 channel control, the Outdoor Lama can be flown forward, aft, left, right, up & down, and can “yaw” left & right as well, commonly called“rudder turns.”All aspects of flight incorporate excellent stability due to the coaxial design, and when trimmed correctly, the Outdoor Lama can be flown with minimal control, allowing the helicopter to remain in a stable attitude of flight at all times. Incorporating a scale AS350 fuselage with “News Chopper” markings, scale paint & decals, along with a free spinning scale tail rotor for added realism, the Outdoor Lama looks as good as it flies, and with outdoor capabilities, you can fly in areas other coaxial have never dared to venture! 

The Esky“Outdoor Lama” is available RTF (Ready to Fly) out of the box, including a fully assembled helicopter, (4) AA transmitter batteries, (1) 800mah 3S 11.1V LiPo flight battery, (1) LiPo AC battery charger, and a 4 Channel 2.4Ghz transmitter that is factory set & ready for flight. Simply install the included (4) AA batteries into the transmitter, charge the included 800mah 3S LiPo battery (takes about 1 hour), and you’ll be ready for takeoff!
